We just came for dinner (staying elsewhere) but had one of our best meals in a long time! Every dish was creative, fresh and delicious (and well sized). The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating of dietary restrictions. And the setting was charming! Can't recommend a meal here more highly.

Wow. Wow. Wow. Had dinner here and it was fantastic. Had the lamb for my main and strawberries for dessert. The flavors were excellent and thr lamb was literally fall off the bone. The server was attentive and friendly and the restaurant decor is so cute with pillows, plants etc. Highly recommend a visit for dinner.

Absolutely beautiful location, and we were expecting good food when we walked in. We were blown away by how personable and helpful our waitress was, and then even more by the food. Everything was cooked perfectly and was incredibly delicious. I wouldn't hesitate to come back when we travel to this area again.

Unfortunately there was only one last room left and we decided to stay somewhere else, but staying for dinner was one of the best decisions we made on the trip. The food is as good as the few serious restaurants in MTL. We ordered a 4-course menu and a St Lawrence fish soup, every little ingredient in the dishes was carefully orchestrated. The pickled “topping” of beef shank is a genius touch, making it a fresh dish. The fish soup is not easy to make but the oriental hint of flavors really shined. And the sugar pie! Staff proudly said this was probably the best of its kind in Quebec. I personally don’t like sweet stuff, we don’t even have cane sugar in our kitchen but use floral syrup and honey as sweeteners, but this really blew me away. It simply reminds me of all the unhealthy but absolutely delicious desserts that I had over the years in France. Onion soup cappuccino! Burnt onions is not just decorative, it is what makes a difference on your palate. This is very delicate with just a few ingredients used. REFRESHING! Would love to come back again to try everything we missed on the menu! If one day there’s a Michelin guide for Quebec and this is not on it, I’d say it’s a shame for the French. Thank you team for offering us a wonderful evening! Oh the wine list is very interesting.

Auberge La Marmite is a charming inn, located very beautifully on the side of the St-Lawrence river. We came here for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and it was such an amazing choice! We chose to take the 4-course meal each and each dish was creatively made and delicious in taste. The "cappuccino" was unforgettable! Additionally, our server was extremely friendly and explained to us everything on the menu. She went out of her way to make the evening special for us and we very much appreciated that! 100% would recommend having a meal here if you're in Charlevoix.

Husband and I ate at Marmite for date night and we were both absolutely blown away. We ordered the table d’hote and the food was truly so delicious. Cute spot with chic ambiance and great food.

We had an incredible experience at the restaurant for dinner! The ambiance is amazing with plants everywhere, beautiful windows, and a great view of the river. We had lovely service from our waitress who provided excellent recommendations. We learned the restaurant is a family business and it shows how much care they put into things. We had the chefs special as an appetizer and it was one of the best plates we’ve ever eaten. The lamb shank fell of the bone and had exquisite flavor. The bouillabaisse was equally delicious with great seasoning and a great variety of seafood. The wine list was impressive and a tad overwhelming but our waitress did a great job helping guide us through it.
